Love Saves The Day is a brand new greenfield festival right in the heart of Bristol. The teams behind Glastonbury Dance Village’s Wow! stage, last year’s incredible See No Evil, one half of the brains behind In:Motion, plus the promoters of Just Jack and Futureboogie – amongst many other events have come together to put all these years of experience into what we hope to be a celebration of it all, a celebration of this city and all that makes it so great, but beyond that a celebration of music, parties, and good times!

The festival has proved to be extremely popular, and as many of you know, tickets sold out over 2 months ago!!!
For those of you who did not buy a ticket in time, there is still a chance to attend this exciting new event! Bristol Event Volunteers are looking for individuals to get involved with the festival, and are offering a free ticket, plus various incentives to help out on the day. There are several roles available, different shift times, and if there is a particular band/artist you would like to see, we can even work out a shift to suit you!

Opportunities are now live on the Bristol Event Volunteer website – but places are going fast. We have already run out of morning steward slots! If you would be interested in getting involved, gaining free entry to the festival or acquiring invaluable live events experience, please apply now! The festival will be held at Castle Park, Bristol city centre, Sunday 3rd June.

A unique opportunity to play a key part in the growth of the IAI, the Square and the Square Gallery in Bristol and the globe at hay.
IAI aims to bring new ideas in the arts to the wider public through festivals and regular weekly events. Through your role with the IAI you will be involved in the programming, coordination and Marketing of a variety of events at the Square in Bristol and the globe at hay. The events range from live comedy, all forms of music, talks and debates to art exhibitions, fashion shows and charity fundraisers.
Throughout this three month contract you will also be involved in the planning and running of Crunch, the art and philosophy festival at hay, which attracts the leading figures in the arts world as well as cabinet ministers, TV and press. (artfestivalathay.org)

There is scope for somebody to take on a great deal of responsibility and gain valuable arts management and Marketing experience. This is a challenging and varied opportunity that will really open doors for a graduate who is keen to start a career in the arts or events.
All applicants should have an excellent education background, a keen interest in and knowledge of Marketing, along with arts and culture in general. The candidate will also need to hold a current driving licence. Experience of putting on events and/or promotion and marketing will obviously be an advantage. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate project management, journalistic and PR skills.

HowTheLightGetsIn 2012, the philosophy and music festival, is looking for stewards. We can offer free passes to all events, free camping and food when you’re working in return for your time helping us as part of a friendly team.

As well as the cutting-edge talks and debates with some of the world’s leading thinkers that make HTLGI unique and the first of its kind, our night-time music and party programme is legendary and bigger than ever this year. We try to accommodate your interests when creating our rotas and many shifts enable you to be present during events.

We need fun, hardworking volunteers for a couple of short shifts per day. If you have previous stewarding and festival experience or health and safety and first aid skills, even better. You will need to be 17+ and able to arrange your own transport to and from our site in Hay-on-Wye. We are looking for people who are available for at least one weekend or a three-day period from Thursday May 31st to Sunday June 10th.

We are offering festival-goers the opportunity to volunteer in exchange for free entry (via reimbursement after the festival). Many opportunities are available for friendly stewards & efficient bartenders. No experienced required, though it would be a benefit to you and us. Training will be provided so don’t worry, as long as you are quick-witted and adaptable then this could be the opportunity for you.

Stewards are often described as the “eyes and ears” of the festival. Generally speaking you will be there to assist the public and help with the smooth and safe running of the event. Every steward will undergo an event specific briefing session prior to the event, and will have adequate supervision and support throughout each shift. It’s easier than you’d think! If you’re organised and love interacting with people, Nozstock would like to hear from you. We are looking for a confident, passionate, friendly and professional volunteer to assist the theatrical arts managers.

This role would suit someone who has an active interest in theatre and the arts, who has a good eye for untapped talent and can negotiate with people from all walks of life. A crucial part of your role will be building and maintaining relationships with performers old and new, and being on hand during the festival to deal with queries, and urgent requests as and when required. A good customer service attitude is a must, as well as remaining calm and focused in times of pressure.

This is a great role to gain experience in creative event management and develop your people skills. You would be supported in your role by your area production manager and festival coordinators.

As Nozstock is still a very grassroots event run by volunteers, pay cannot be guaranteed and will be pending financial success. It’s a big ask, but the experience and knowledge gained are their own reward. Plus we’ll offer you a glowing reference if you’re everything we expect of you.

Nozstock The Hidden Valley is seeking an organised, dedicated admin intern to work not only the weekend but on a flexible basis during the weeks running up to it. The ideal candidate would have a clear understanding of MS Word and Excel, as well as e-mail, some experience with personnel and budgeting, a methodical approach and strict adherence to detail.

You would need to be friendly and outgoing, happy to ask questions and chase answers and keen to work as part of a team. Much of your role with involve will involve answering and fielding emails, researching and shortlisting artists in response to briefs set by your theatrical production managers and offering general support.

During the weekend you would be required to implement your knowledge about the festival, provide artist hospitality and production support, and ensure the smooth running of the event.

As Nozstock is still a very grassroots event run by volunteers, pay cannot be guaranteed and will be pending financial success, but this is a great opportunity for experience.

Nozstock The Hidden Valley is seeking an organised, dedicated ticket administrator to work throughout the run-up until after the festival. Working on site (Bromyard, Herefordshire), the successful candidate will be a key point of contact dealing with enquiries and sales administration.

The ideal person will have a background in customer service and great negotiation skills. Proficient in MS Word, Excel and use of email, they would also have a great telephone manner, some experience with personnel and budgeting, a methodical approach and strict adherence to detail.

Previous administrative experience is essential, with practice using databases. Previous sales experience is desirable. We would also like to see an imaginative approach to developing streamlined office systems.

Friendly and outgoing, the chosen candidate should be happy to ask questions and chase answers and able to work effectively, both in an independent setting and within a team.

This is a paid role, per hour fee to be confirmed on appointment, dependent on experience.
